We have endorsed candidates for the 2025 Sutton Town Election based on the strength and clarity of the platforms they presented to the committee, primarily at the Candidate Forum. Some candidates chose not to submit a platform or speak with the committee.

While it is both allowed and common, none of the candidates on the 2025 Sutton Town Ballot—including those we have endorsed—are members of the Sutton Democratic Town Committee.

The 2025 Town Election is a non-partisan event; candidates are not required to declare a party affiliation. In keeping with that, we did not ask any candidate about their political affiliation, nor do we expect or require a Democratic affiliation in order to receive our endorsement in this election.

Our selections were based solely on the substance, thoughtfulness, and specificity of the materials presented. The major issues facing Sutton in 2025—fiscal strategy, management philosophy, and community engagement—are not partisan in nature. They require practical solutions and a commitment to inclusive, effective governance.
